Cars Cake
I was asked to do a Cars cake for a little boy turning 6. This was a chocolate cake with ganache filling. I covered the cake with fondant. All elements, including Lightening McQueen are in fondant. The clouds are royal icing.

GI Joe Cookies, Treasure Chests, and Star Wars mini cakes
Although I haven't posted anything lately, I actually have been busy.
I was also asked to make GI Joe cookies. My first thought was to make just a round cookie and freehand a tank on there. Then, my husband told me there had been a recent movie and that is probably what the little boy wanted, not the old school GI Joe cartoon version I was thinking of. So, after a little research, I decided to copy the logo from the movie.
I also made some more Star Wars cupcakes and Star Wars mini cakes....
And, lastly, I worked on mini treasure chest cakes for a pirate themed birthday party...
And, now it's time to start working on a Car's cake!

Toy Story Cake
My son wanted a Toy Story cake for his 3rd birthday. I decided on something simple - Andy's bed. I cheated a little by using plastic figurines instead of fondant characters. I don't think my son was upset about that! The cake was a vanilla cake with white chocolate buttercream and strawberries.
